Wellington Fire District - New Zealand

Station 23 - Thorndon

Thorndon 231 - The Drivers Seat

The driver's instrumentation can be clearly seen in this photo. The degree of forward vision is enhanced by the style and construction of the windscreen and support structures.
The console in the middle (between the officer and driver) contains relevant information such as maps, location updates, notepads, hazardous substance folders and other assorted papers.

The steering column is adjustable both in angle and height and the seat itself is fully moveable.

Above the heads of the officer and driver are located the radio, mobile signalling unit (MSU), and several more lockers containing minor equipment.
